Interior work involves removing the existing ceiling system to repair and restore plaster, addressing cracks, and replacing deteriorated sections. The entire waiting room ceiling was prepped, primed, and painted for a refreshed appearance.
 
Exterior improvements focus on repairing or replacing the deteriorated door and frame with matching finishes and hardware. Masonry work includes repointing and replacing damaged brick and cast stone, patching metal anchor holes, and removing paint from the façade. Additional structural enhancements include rebuilding the lower portion of the Express Building’s exterior wall and subgrade foundation at the northeast corner and conducting a test pit investigation. These updates ensure the station’s long-term durability while maintaining its historic character.
